Liberty Insurance Rolls Out Telematics in Singapore [Insurance Networking News]
Liberty Insurance, a Singapore-based carrier wholly owned by Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has announced a new telematics application for customers.
The app, DriveWell, developed by Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), measures driving skills in five categories: braking, acceleration, cornering, speeding and phone distraction. Drivers also can earn prizes through weekly competitions and receive driving tips after trips are logged and a performance score is given.
“By becoming more aware of their behaviors, drivers can learn to be safer behind the wheel,” said Chang Sucheng, chief executive officer of Liberty Insurance, in a statement. “[DriveWell] is an innovative way to make safe driving fun and exciting. Drivers can get useful feedback, see how they compare with other drivers and challenge their friends.”
