Norman-Spencer selects Cambridge Mobile Telematics

Norman-Spencer, an independent insurance agency, has deployed Cambridge Mobile Telematics’ DriveWell Fleet Program to help clients monitor driver performance and reduce automobile accidents.
The firm’s smartphone telematics software is already in use by Norman-Spencer’s Institute of Risk Management and Safety—a public benefit corporation founded by the agency to help clients improve driver safety through the use of technology. Norman-Spencer’s customer base encompasses small-to-medium fleets ranging from tow trucks to concrete mixers and cranes. Each carrier adopting CMT’s platform will receive real-time location data on drivers leading to a reduction in operating expenses, according to the companies.
“CMT offers an advanced methodology for accurately capturing, aggregating and analyzing telematics data,” said Mark Aussicker, chief claims officer of Norman-Spencer, in a statement. “For us, that translates into fewer accidents, improved loss ratios and stronger partnerships with our clients.”
Norman-Spencer joins Aioi Nissay and State Auto, among 20-plus other carriers, as CMT customers.
