WARTA Launches Safe Driving Program in Poland with CMT
Warta4U will start by focusing on young drivers
Warsaw, Poland & Zagreb, Croatia — WARTA, a leading motor insurer in Poland, and Cambridge Mobile Telematics (CMT), the world’s largest telematics service provider, announced Warta4U, a connected insurance program that offers safe driving discounts. The program will begin by focusing on young drivers, providing them feedback on risk factors like speed, acceleration, braking, cornering, and phone distraction while driving.
“Our partnership with CMT will help us improve customer safety and reduce the number of motor crashes in Poland,” said Jarosław Niemirowski, Vice President of the Management Board of Warta. “Beyond reducing crashes, CMT provides insurers with valuable insights to assess risks more effectively. We firmly believe that usage-based motor insurance is the future, and we plan to expand our offering to other customer groups soon.”
“With new products to help drivers reduce risk, have peace of mind, and lower emissions, telematics adoption across Europe is surging,” said Marijan Mumdziev, Managing Director of Europe. “WARTA’s new program, Warta4U, will help young drivers learn about their risky behaviors and drive safer as a result.”
Connected insurance programs like Warta4U can provide feedback and engage drivers in ways that reduce driving risk. CMT’s research shows that driving feedback like risk scores has reduced braking risk by 15% in just two months. Additional CMT research shows that drivers who open their safe driving app more than three times a week are 65% safer and 57% less distracted. CMT safe driving programs have reduced crash frequency by 24% and fuel consumption by up to 25%.
Warta4U is currently available in four provinces in Poland. It will be available nationwide by the end of the third quarter of this year. The Warta4U app is available to download on the App Store and Google Play exclusively for Warta customers enrolled in the Warta4U program.
